Ana Hough

Ana Patricia Hough, E-RYT® 200, E-RYT® 500, YACEP®, is the Founder and Owner of A2 Yoga and the A2 Yoga & Education Institute. She also serves as the Lead Trainer for the A2 Yoga’s Teacher Training Programs.

Ana Patricia has always been deeply curious about the human body and how it moves. Early on, she considered becoming a doctor, but dyslexia led her toward a more hands-on path. Instead, she pursued a multidisciplinary approach to healing and movement, becoming a massage therapist, yoga teacher, dance teacher, and artist. Over the years, she has earned numerous certifications focused on deepening her understanding of the body, mind, emotions, and spirit.

Raised by entrepreneurial parents, Ana Patricia and her siblings learned early how to run their own businesses. She opened her first yoga studio in 2002 and brings decades of real-world studio ownership and leadership experience to her Teacher Training Programs. Her work is grounded in a lifelong commitment to education, mentorship, and empowering others through thoughtful, embodied learning.

Juliana Carniel

Juliana Carniel is a Brazilian native who has lived in Ann Arbor since 2014. Her experience living abroad began in 2010, when she moved from Brazil to India with her husband and daughter. It was during this transformative time that her yoga journey began.

Living in India proved to be a profound gift, allowing Juliana to experience yoga as a fully integrated way of life. She primarily practiced B.K.S. Iyengar Yoga, along with some vinyasa, and dedicated herself deeply to the eight-limbed path of yoga. With clarity and intention, she knew early on that she would one day become a yoga teacher.

During her studies, Juliana learned about Tapas—a Sanskrit concept meaning disciplined effort involving purification, self-study, and inner resolve—which became a guiding principle in her personal and professional growth. She completed her first yoga teacher training at the S-VYASA (Swami Vivekananda Yoga Ashram).

After relocating to Ann Arbor in 2014, Juliana continued her education and, in 2017, completed a second teacher training with Ana Patricia Hough. This experience deepened her understanding of teaching from the heart and expressing her authentic self, shaping the foundation of her approach to yoga and education.
